Desinfection

With the UV-ALD dual-effect car disinfection system, the elevator car can be disinfected against all types of microorganisms (viruses, bacteria, fungi, etc.) using UVC light. It is possible to disinfect the elevator car without any harmful effects of UVC light on human health with the UV-ALD module. The UV-ALD system has the capacity to circulate the air inside a 630 kg/8-person car approximately every 3.5 minutes. The number of UV-ALD modules can be increased based on the size of the car.

• Compatible with all elevators. It can be applied to older elevators as well.
• Disinfection process is carried out with original PHILIPS® UVC lamps that do not produce ozone in the environment.
• Safely turns on/off the UVC lamp that directly disinfects the car.
• Includes additional monitoring function to prevent the lamp from staying continuously on.
• Monitors the car lamp to control the UVC lamp.
• Ensures that the UVC lamp is turned on when the car door is closed.
• Additional control input can be used to control the UVC lamp or for other functions.
• Error relay output: When a fault is detected in the contacts that turn the UVC lamp on/off, this relay is activated and the lamp is not turned on.
• Direct exposure disinfection time can be set up to 60 minutes via the module.
• UVC lamp lifetime counter counts the total time the lamp has been lit. When the lamp is nearing the end of its life, the STATUS LED on the module flashes to indicate the need for replacement.
• Status relay: This relay is engaged as long as the UVC lamp, which directly emits UVC light into the car, is lit.
• Can be connected to compatible elevator control systems via CAN-BUS for advanced functions and remote monitoring purposes.
